HRTE was established in 1981 and is considered a leading home respiratory care company serving the Long Island, New York City area. We work very closely with key healthcare providers including physicians, hospitals and subacute care facilities. We offer convenient, economical home-delivery service which helps our clients to reduce the expenses associated with home healthcare.

Each HRTE registered respiratory therapist carefully supervises and oversees the assessment, delivery, and follow-up of all respiratory care to patients. Our specialty pharmacy offers prices that are considerably lower and we deliver medications directly to the home.

HRTE therapists work as a team, together with patient, family, and referring physician. Evaluations and diagnostic tests are performed based on each patients specific and personal needs. Treatment plans are evaluated and modified upon consultation with the ordering physician.

Our patients receive in-depth education and information about their condition and illness with instruction on how they can help to control it. Written personal "care plans" and summary reports are provided for physicians and/or patients.

Initial and Ongoing Assessments
Our delivery technicians and equipment technicians perform extensive assessments that provide assurance that the product is suited for the patient and the patient's environment.

Consultations
We will consult with referral personnel and the patient to resolve any matter involving home care services.

Discharge Planning
We work directly with physicians and/or discharge planners to insure the patient has a smooth transition home.

Billing Assistance
We bill Medicare, Medicaid and other third party insurance carriers (if qualified) so the patient doesn't have to do the paperwork.

Travel Planning (Oxygen Only)
We will assist patients in planning for their oxygen needs while away from home.

Equipment Maintenance
Our equipment is maintained and/or repaired by our in-house equipment technicians.
